HOW TO EXPORT FILES FOR MIXING/MASTERING

STEREO MASTERING:

1. NO PLUGINS ON THE MASTER BUS
Do not leave any plugins (limiter, compressor, etc.) on your master bus but if you have some creative effects (filters, automated reverbs) that are crucial to your track, leave these on.
2. HEADROOM
Go to the loudest part of your track (usually the drop/chorus) and inspect your master meter to check if it's going above 0dB well into distortion territory. Even though in the digital world we can always turn things down, we cannot save printed tracks that have distorted/clipped peaks so please ensure you have around -3dB of headroom (master meter doesn't go above -3dB when playing the most energy and instrument dense section of the mix).
3. EXPORTING
Export your stereo mix as a WAV/AIF file at 44.1/48 Khz with a bit depth of 24 so we can have more details to work with, even though your mix will probably end up in MP3 form to the end user. 🤣
4. UPLOADING
Upload your mix using a file service like WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.. You don't need to blow up 💥 our email inbox by sending the WAVE file directly as an attachment.
5. SENDING
Paste the link of your uploaded track in the checkout form or you can send it to us directly via email over here.

STEM MASTERING:

1. NO PLUGINS ON THE MASTER BUS
Do not leave any plugins (limiter, compressor, etc.) on your master bus but if you have some creative effects (filters, automated reverbs) that are crucial to your track, leave these on.
2.GROUP/STEM TRACKS

Our Stem Mastering Service implies that you've done the mix yourself but you want us to have a little more control and improve areas where possible. Stem mastering means that you organise your instruments into GROUP TRACKS (anywhere from 4 to 10) such as KICK, DRUMS, BASS, EFFECTS, SYNTHS, INSTRUMENTS, VOCALS, etc. and send these to us for the mastering process. This is a more comprehensive way to get a better version than with the Simple Stereo Mastering option.
4. EXPORTING
Export your grouped stem tracks as a WAV/AIF files at 44.1/48 Khz with a bit depth of 24 so we can have more details to work with, even though the final mix will probably end up in MP3 form to the end user. 🤣

ONLY MIXING:

1. NO PLUGINS ON THE MASTER BUS
Do not leave any plugins (limiter, compressor, etc.) on your master bus but if you have some creative effects (filters, automated reverbs) that are crucial to your track, leave these on.
2.FILES

The Only Mixing Service is useful if you are mastering the track by yourself or have somebody else doing it. It implies you export all of your instruments/tracks (up to 50) and have them transferred to our end where we can put our efforts into balancing and making it sound as best as possible. We will use techniques like automation, compression, eq-ing, creative effects, structure edits, panning, saturation, vocal correction and everything else under the sun to make your mix sound better, balanced and ready for the mastering stage.
3. HEADROOM
Go to the loudest part of your individual tracks and make sure they don't breach 0dB on the metering. Turn these down to be in the safe zone and avoid distortion/clipping. We don't care if all your tracks stacked on top of each other go above 0dB on the master bus. We only care that the individual ones (soloed) DON'T!
4. EXPORTING
Export every single instrument/track in a solo fashion as WAV/AIF files at 44.1/48 Khz with a bit depth of 24 so we can have more details to work with, even though the final mix will probably end up in MP3 form to the end user. 🤣
5. UPLOADING
Upload your files using a service like WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.. You don't need to blow up 💥 our email inbox by sending the archive directly as an attachment (We don't think it's even possible to attach anything larger than 30-50MB).
6. SENDING
Paste the link of your archive/download in the checkout form or you can send it to us directly via email over here.
